Important: It is only possible to link one Nintendo Account to an Epic Games account. After linking your Nintendo Account to your Epic Games account, it will not be possible to switch the Nintendo Account linked even if you unlink the accounts.

To add your existing Nintendo account to an additional Switch, simply create a new local account on your Switch with your preferred name, then complete the process by linking that account to your. Linking an Epic account to your Nintendo Account allows you to access cross-play features within Fortnite where they are available.

  • If you don't choose to create a full account, an account will still be created with Epic using the display information that you choose. This account will be associated to your Nintendo Account.

Each Nintendo Network ID can be associated to one Wii U console and one Nintendo 3DS family system.

All Nintendo Switch Accounts

  • The Nintendo 3DS can have only one active Nintendo Network ID registered to it at one time. If a previous account exists on the system, it will need to be removed before a new one can be created or linked.
  • A Nintendo Network ID can be created on a Wii U and then linked to a Nintendo 3DS family system, or vice versa.
  • Once a Nintendo Network ID has been associated to a Nintendo 3DS family system, it can only be moved to a different Nintendo 3DS family system through the Data Transfer process.
